Merger with Daughter Companies
As to this day, the companies Computer Press a.s. and R+H, spol. s. r.o., were merged with the parent company, Albatros Media a.s, thus completing
the integration of the companies within Albatros Media a.s., initiated in 2010 after the acquisition of the aforementioned companies. The company R+H
s.r.o. had been the operator of the publisher Motto, and Computer Press a.s. had been an important non-fiction publisher.
A traditional
publishing house, Motto will remain unchanged within Albatros Media a.s., producing mainly romances, Nordic crime stories, self-development books and
a whole range of other titles for adult readers, featuring the established Czech authors including Halina Pawlowská, Irena Obermannová, and Michaela
Klevisová.
Apart from the original Computer Press brand that will continue publishing computer literature, and books on digital
photography and other modern technologies, three new publishing houses will be established – BizBooks for titles on management, economy, finances
and personal and carreer development, Edika for titles following modern educational trends, and CPress, extending our portfolio with books on
travelling, health, leisure, history, DIY, motors etc.
The integration of the publishing houses within the Albatros Media a.s. group,
initiated in 2010 and now completed, will bring many new opportunities the company will use to further extend and improve its publishing activity, to
produce more titles and to strengthen its position of the leading publishing house in the Czech Republic in the field of fiction and non-fiction
literature for children, young and adult readers alike.
