Consisting of 9 separate brands – Albatros, Computer Press, Motto, Plus Publishing, CooBoo, CPress, Edika, BizBooks and XYZ and co-edition project of Czech TV Edition – Albatros Media, Inc. is the leading publisher in the Czech book market.
Established in 1949, the company has published over 10, 000 titles, with a total volume exceeding 350 million copies. Currently Albatros launches more than 1 000 titles per annum, ranging from books to CDs, DVDs and multimedia encyclopedias.
In 1964, the company’s children’s imprint Albatros – with 6 other international publishers – co-founded Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
Since 1975, Albatros Media has been successfully operating its Young Readers’ Club, with direct sales and delivery to 4,500 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, covering 1.2 million children from 3 to 15 years of age.
Last but not least, Albatros Media is a major Czech distributor in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Through its own logistic facility, the company supplies all key sales channels, providing the sales support and services though the network of its own sales representatives. We produce and distribute books for children and adults in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In cooperation with our local partners, we also produce various titles in French, Hungarian, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Danish, Dutch and other European languages.
